Why people look for an alternative
remove.bg has announced that its standalone website closes on 1 December 2026 and its background removal moves into Canva. If you just want to upload a photo and download a transparent PNG, without a design app, this site does exactly that.
We are not affiliated with remove.bg or Canva. remove.bg is a trademark of its owner.
How this background remover works
Upload, drop, paste or link an image and the background is removed in a few seconds. The preview (up to 640 pixels) is free with no account, up to 5 images a day.
Full-resolution PNGs cost one credit, with packs of 12 for $3, 25 for $5 or 60 for $10. Credits never expire, there is no subscription, and in six African countries you can pay in local currency with Mobile Money.
